Michael Jackson has been pronounced dead after he being transported to a hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon.

At 7:25 p.m. (EST) CNN reported that the Los Angeles Coroner had pronounced him dead.

A few minutes later in a phone interview, Lt. Fred Corrall, the Los Angeles Coroner, told CNN that Jackson had been non-responsive when he arrived at the hospital and that he was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time).

The coroner said an autopsy will be conducted, possibly tomorrow, to determine what may have contributed to Jackson's death.
